Why LED technology? |

Research has shown that powerful LED's are able to have beneficial bio-stimulation effects on the skin which alleviate the damage caused by aging and the sun, and use in combination with other topical treatments further enhances the overall effects.
In the 2006 Global Aesthetics Market Survey it was forecasted that LED therapy will be one of the fastest growing aesthetic technologies over the next 3 years. |

On what body areas can I use ReGen™? |

ReGen™ can be used on any area of the body, but is most commonly used on the face, chest and back. |

How safe is the treatment? |
| A. |
All ReGen™ treatments are completely safe for all skin types and contain only visible light with no UV present. Only a slight warming sensation is felt during treatment due to the absorption of light into the skin. Goggles are provided for your comfort. |

What's the difference between LED and VPL? |
| A. |
There is a significant difference between these two methods of treatment – LED and VPL™ can be used in conjunction with each other, increasing the effects of each treatment. One treatment method does not make the other redundant.
For example, in Photorejuvenation treatments, ReGen™ LED uses a photo-biological (non-inflammatory) effect, which improves the health & prolongs the lifespan of cells such as Elastin & Collagen, whereas VPL™ produces a photo-thermal (inflammatory) effect to stimulate collagen production. |

What training is provided for ReGen™? |

ReGen™ training is much more straight-forward that VPL™ system training, however comprehensive training is important and is provided with the system. ReGen™ does not require constant supervision, so no downtime for salons clinics. |

Why dual light LED's? What is the benefit? |
| A. |
ReGen™ uses high quality Dual Emitting diodes (DEL™ technology) – two small light emitting diodes in the same component. This enables the two colours to be emitted either individually or simultaneously, whilst maintaining the same coverage. The intensity of each colour can be altered by the user, not just in intensity but also the ratio of red/blue to be emitted. Research has shown that the combination of red and blue light has had strong positive effects in the treatment of Acne:
‘We propose that blue light and red light may act synergistically in improving acne by combining antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action, rendering phototherapy with blue-red light an effective and safe treatment for acne vulgaris' A Chu et al, British Journal of Dermatology 2000
Additionally, Goldberg et al, reporting in the Journal of Cosmetic & Laser Therapy, June 2006, said that ‘Combination blue and red LED therapy appears to have excellent potential in the treatment of mild to severe acne. Treatment appears to be both pain and side-effect free' |
